Waller Truck Amenities

At Waller, we want our drivers to not only enjoy the job, but also have the necessary tools to ensure success. That’s why we have a fleet of 200 Kenworth T680s for our drivers.

When creating the T680, Kenworth got a lot of input from drivers beforehand. The company wanted to build a cab and sleeper that were ready for the future: reliable, fuel efficient, ergonomically correct, and stylish, with the extra amenities every driver needs.

Each truck is fully automatic and the cab has extra insulation so there is 50% less noise than the average cab. Overall Kenworth was going for a pleasant and functional driving experience; with all the testing and work they put into designing the T680, we believed they reached their goal!

Remote Entry

The remote keyless entry system lets you perform a pre-trip inspection of the exterior lights before getting in the truck. Simply click the Light Check button. The cycle goes through: parking lights, side markers, hazard turn signals, low beam and high beam headlamps, driving lights, and brake lights.

Cab Exterior

The outside of the cab is stylish while simultaneously being one of the most aerodynamic truck bodies on the market, creating better gas mileage.

Mirrors

  • The outside mirrors are 8” x 6” and positioned further forward than on other trucks.
  • Also, mirrors are sized to provide a better view of the dreaded blind spot, to cut down on the risk of an accident. It’s about time.
  • Each mirror arm has a breakaway feature in case of an impact.
  • There’s also an integral heating element for ice removal during winter months.

Windshield

  • The windshield on the T680 is 45% larger to provide better visibility. It’s like having the corner office with all the windows.

Cab Interior

The truck cab is your workspace and we want you to be comfortable. The T680 has an extra 4 inches of height and 4 inches of belly room between the steering wheel and the seat. The efficient passenger seat swivels for ease, so that you can turn around and pull around the table to eat, watch TV, do paperwork, and more. There’s also a very nice sound system.

Driver’s Seat

  • Driver’s seat adjusts based on height, not weight.
  • Seat tilts forward, backward, has an adjustable lumbar support, and air channels to cut down on back sweat in the summer. You’re welcome.
  • Some models have heated seats that keep you nice and toasty throughout the winter.

Dashboard

  • Clean dash
  • Essential controls within reach
  • Switches and control knobs intuitively grouped

HVAC

  • Auto Temperature Control
  • One Touch Defrost

Ergonomics

  • Hanging pedals reduce leg stress and improve pedal feel thanks to the flat floor design
  • The tilt and telescoping steering wheel can be optimized for each driver
  • No doghouse gives the driver plenty of foot and legroom and makes it easier to maneuver throughout the cab
  • Rounded corners on stationary items help avoid injury

Windows & mirrors

  • Express windows – up or down in less than 6 seconds
  • Full glass drop
  • Weatherproof

LED interior lighting

  • Regular and ambient lighting are both dimmable

Get Your 8 Hours

When you’re ready for some shut-eye, the T680s 76” sleeper is nice and roomy plus the insulated walls help keep the warmth in and keep noises out.

Thanks to the two bunk windows you get more light and cross ventilation on warm nights. When you need the air conditioner it’s blessedly quiet. Light and sound systems allow you to control your environment.

For your enjoyment there’s space for a small refrigerator as well as a TV mount. There is a closet with enough space for hanging several days’ worth of clothes.

Who’s Your Wingman?

In addition to all the creature comforts, Kenworth added the Bendix Wingman Advanced Collision Mitigation Technology System, which is almost like having another driver with you. The system alerts you with a warning sound when you start to get too close.

If you ignore the warnings or a driver pulls in front of you too quickly, the break system goes into action putting on the brakes to avoid an accident or at least mitigate some of the damage. Talk about a wingman! This technology is a literally a lifesaver, because when all is said and done, Waller wants its drivers to return home to their families after every trip.
