Snowstorm Slams Missouri
A snowstorm in the Midwest has created pandemonium on many Missouri highways on Saturday afternoon, causing nearly 900 accidents and 1800 stranded motorists.
The snowstorm cased 57 injuries and four deaths due to traffic accidents, according to the Missouri State Highway Patrol.
As of 2:00 pm this afternoon, MSHP has responded to:
• 3918 calls for service
• 1790 stranded motorists
• 878 crashes
• 57 injuries
• 4 fatalities
While roads are improving, many are still snow covered.
The Missouri Highway Patrol has advised drivers to stay off the roads if possible. If travel is necessary please refer to MoDot’s interactive road map here: Missouri DOT Road Conditions.
