Provide Parking Feedback
Provide Parking Feedback
It is no secret that one of the biggest pains and challenges for drivers is finding a proper parking spot when you are on the road. The recent supply chain issues over the past two years have brought that issue to the forefront and it appears that some agencies are taking notice.
The American Transportation Research Institute (ATRI) is a non-profit research arm of the trucking industry that aims to conduct studies around the challenges that drivers face in the industry. It is through their research that they say the number one issue faced by drivers is 2022 is the issue around truck parking.
They are hoping to highlight these challenges through a survey of any drivers that have recently driven through the following states and used the real-time parking information system (MAASTO Truck Parking Information Management System):
- Minnesota
- Wisconsin
- Iowa
- Michigan
- Illinois
- Indiana
- Ohio
- Kansas
- Missouri
- Kentucky
The survey will keep everything confidential so you do not have to worry about current or previous employers finding out any of your sensitive information or remarks. The idea is to take the responses to this survey and the feedback received to improve the system itself.
We have also seen that in the past, data like the one that is being collected here, can often be used to secure federal funding for trucking initiatives. Several trucking agencies have been providing feedback to state representatives that new and improved truck parking is going to be necessary to alleviating the supply chain issues currently facing the US.
